This weekend has been fun :) I will mildly entertain you with what I have been up to now:
On Friday evening, left work early (via. pub and semi appalling drinks with coworkers), went to meet Mike. Saw Maria off (she's going back to Sweden), at another pub. Then me and Mike went on a long walk. London was really beautiful. We ended up going on the London Eye, which we had never been on before... It's really beautiful. Despite the fucking tourists who got bored after 10 minutes.
Saturday, long unhealthy hours online, but then went to the gym. Ate with Mike, then went to meet Xandrija. Meet some old friends of hers, and started to drink cheap doubles and glasses of ungodly sweet tasting things. Then Annalisa turned up, who I hadn't seen for YEARS. When Pippa arrived we fit in a few more drinks before closing time, then we ended up at Gossips this proper 80s metal club... We drunk, and drunk and drunk, and staggered out into the street to 'subtly' roll up, then back to drinking, and drinking, and drunken stoned HEADBANGING, DANCING and (oh yes comedy air guitar) and SKID ROW and things.... Van Halen and Pantera were also heard on the dance floor. Frank, if a bit slurred, talk of sex coupled with nostalgic stories of old friends and half remembered exploits was the conversational order of the night. Chinese food. The narrowly averted possibility of karoke. Got home somehow. :) It was just so fucking nice to see people again, and hang out and talk....
Then up at 8 to see League of Extrodinary Gentlemen this morning. Which was terrible. Really depressingly bad. They WRECKED the graphic novel. Then me and Mike had a sleepy picnic in Green Park. And later we are going to see Daisy to see a horror film, which should round the weekend off nicely :) Then only THREE DAYS until planteers and ex planteers alike start to arrive :) I am totally excited, and would be bouncing if I wasn't feeling a bit drained... :)
