So, what with not really having much else to do (except for the fact that I'm meant to be packing up the house and doing all this practical stuff for our big move that I'm clearly not doing :) ) I've been reading an awful lot recently. I think actually it's the combination of having gone away and not really having much to do afterwards. It was way too hectic to read while we were actually in HK, but I spent the 11 and 12 hour flights reading Breton's Nadja on the way there and Jack London's The Star Rover. It feels like way too long since I read anything, and I had forgotten how much I love the whole experience of devouring books whole :) (Oh yes, dear reader, it's one of those nights, I'm afraid :) ). With The Star Rover - I don't know what to think of this book really. It's complicated. It's really a series of terribly indulgent fantasies (and I love that kind of thing). Hmmm.

Well, anyway, since we got back I've been having a real David Clowes thing. I re-watched Ghost World, then re-read it. I have tried reading his other comix before and never really liked them. But eightball is the business :) The more I read the less I think Mr. Clowes is really just a bit of a wanker and the more I really love his work. Anyway:

Tonight me and Mike went out and got a little bit drunk at the Cro-Bar :) It was a lot of fun. I was significantly more drunk than Mikey :) He wrote rude things on my arm though :)
