Just thought I should add some colour, as, zebras aside, this blog is getting a little text heavy at the moment :)
So, today was another incredibly lazy day. I did find out that I start working at my new job on Monday, which I am half not to keen on (it is working, after all), but half thinking could be alright. My aunt had some wise words, though, to the effect of expect to hate your job, everyone hates their job, then listing everyone she knows who hates their jobs. Then she told me to get Mike to make me packed lunches :)
I am a bit worried about her, to be honest. Next week she is going for surgery again. Ack.
In other news, the flat is being ripped apart right now, and re-shaped into something more Jess and Mike ish. Today, a wall came down and now we have this crazy, massive open hallway all ready to be filled up with bookshelves on bookshelves on bookshelves.

Even though, given my stripe obsession, a zebra without stipes should be not nearly as cool - so cute! ¶ 1:04 AM

Tonight was pretty cool. Met Chris for drinks, who we haven't seen for ages and hung out and caught up, etc. Got slightly pissed, ate some very tasty Islington Indian, and went to the Buffalo Bar to catch the headliners.
Maybe it's just me, but with a name like 'We Rock Like Girls Don't', you really need to justify that by doing a) something original, and b) something more intense, than the other girl bands out there. Well, 'We Rock Like Girls Don't', don't. Their first few songs just made me think: Elastica. Softly softly vocals and garage rock sound. Well, I guess 'We Rock Like A 90s Mostly Girl Band' doesn't have the same ring, does it? Their last few songs were a big improvement, as the soft lead vocals were superceded by the lead singer and bass player bellowing them out together, and a general increase and energy. But then it was over, just when it was getting good. 10 songs at most. I guess it's only £4, but still.
Now, the Buffalo Bar. It really just sucks as a venue. It's alright, kinda 'intimate' as they say, as long as you are RIGHT at the front, but otherwise you can't see or hear anything due to the veritable forest of columns. Also, every time we have been it has been stuffed to the brim with uber-hipsters. Which is a shame, because Art Rocker put on some decent nights, with some decent bands playing. Ah well.
Anyway, we went back on the tube, and in a typical London late night tube moment, some guy on a bad trip was quietly freaking out opposite us. And someone was dead drunk, sprawled on the floor outside of the station. Fun fun fun :) ¶ 11:47 PM

Blogging is slightly addictive, but so is wanking.
Overall, though, I wish I'd gone swimming today instead.
