And so Kitten has been evicted. Yes, dear readers, the sad truth is that not only have I succumb to the Big Brother phenomenum, I am utterly hooked. Mike has been sending me updates at work, when I am of course cut off from 24 hour live coverage, you see, and I need this fix to get me through the day. A good forty or so per day, actually.
But, now they have chucked Kitten out there's noticably less appeal. Kitten is wonderful. She is loud and brash and fucking cool. Of course, it was obvious the rest of the country would hate her. She stormed into the house, desperate to kiss her girlfriend before going in. The camera panned to the horrified open maw of a couple of big brother fans. She is a dysfunctional, REAL person. Like, someone you would actually meet. Obviously, her politics are rather... crudely expressed. She's young, young, you know?
Anyway, last night I went out with some old uni friends. It was really a lot of fun, although of course I got rather drunk and silly :) It was great seeing everyone again. Its hard to believe its a year since I was last in New Cross, in the same pub, celebrating my last exam. Madness. I miss uni. Pretty much everything about it. It would be so cool to go back and do an MA. I am going to seriously have to look into it. Especially after the last week at work. You know, sometimes its good. I am at least occasionally using my brain :) But, it doesn't really measure up to seminars and lectures and hanging out, and doing something for your own pleasure and interest (most of the time!) rather than endlessly repeating the same thing for someone else's profit. *sigh*
I guess that's WORK for you!
